The Air Force Falcons visit the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday. Here is your first look at the Lobos.
New Mexico (2-2) opened its season at home with a 38-14 win over Abilene Christian. The following week the Lobos fell to rival New Mexico State 30-28. In week three UMN fell at Boise State 28-14. Most recently the Lobos won a close 16-13 battle at Tulsa. New Mexico averages almost 410 yards per game offensively while allowing opponents 333 yards per game defensively. UM scores 24 points a game while allowing opponents just over 21 points per game on average.

CHALLENGES
Air Force lost a 45-40 shootout with New Mexico last season. The Lobos are kind of beaten up as you can see in the section above. They are a mostly running offense with a lot of miss-direction stuff. They even do a few pitchouts. This is the kind of offense that defenses have to be well prepared for. If the Falcons take this game seriously, protect the ball on offense and are ready defensively, they should be able to win this one.
