Air Force is the lone Service Academy team in action this week visiting Colorado State. Army and Navy both have bye weeks. Here is your Service Academy prediction for Week 9.

AIR FORCE AT COLORADO STATE, 1 PM MT, CBS SPORTS NETWORK
The Falcons trail in their all-time series with Colorado State 33-21-1. The 6-2 Rams have a blowout win over Oregon State but after that, there are no other impressive victories. They did score more points in a game with Alabama than any other team the Tide has faced this season. Looking at Colorado State’s two most recent victories over Nevada and New Mexico, opponents Air Force also defeated recently. The Falcons won over those teams by larger margins. Even so, it’s going to be difficult for Air Force to defeat the Rams on the road. This should be a very close game though and don’t be surprised if the Falcons find a way to win.
Prediction: Colorado State 38, Air Force 34.
Next week Navy will visit Temple for a Thursday night contest while Army will square off with Air Force in Colorado Springs.
